1) "How is the sample portfolio ?"
=============================================================
Our portfolio has a 38.5%
gain now, with the new stocks we
bought last month we greatly improved our performance over
last month (+14.7%), but what is going to happen next ?
In general the summer time is a slow time on the stockmarket,
last year it was the beginning of a long slow crash, what
are the odds that that is going to happen again?, well the
situation is much different then last year, last year we
have had a lot of financial scandals, and a war threat in
Iraq. Those things are sorted out.
What we have now is a low US dollar, but that is something
that is profitable for a number of companies, so that is not
to bad for our portfolio.
A bad economical situation in Europe particularly Germany and
the US is also not so good, but in our portfolio it is the
US where the money is coming from, although our UK stocks
are doing great as well!
So what we do, we keep an eye on our stocks (as always) but
will not wait as long as we did last year to sell, if things
turn worse then expected, we managed to make a 100% in 2001
which was also a troublesome year, so we are confident that
we are on the right track!
at the bottom of this page is a screenshot of our portfolio.
